Brief Profile | Dr. Sweety Jamgade is the Head of the Management Studies – Hospitality Department, and an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology (FHMCT), Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS). She holds a Ph.D. degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from the Faculty of Science and Technology, RTMNU. On the first attempt, she cleared UGC-NET in Travel & Tourism Administration and Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) from American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI).
She treasures the Annual Exemplary Faculty Member Award 2022 awarded by RUAS, the ‘Qualified Nominee’ Award at the Asian Tourism Research Conference (ATRC) 2021- RACE – Research, Leadership, Academic Excellence, Innovation and Community Engagement and the Topper Award in her post-graduation (2006) in Master of Hospitality Management. She is specialized and highly experienced in hospitality, tourism, and management studies. She is a member of various hospitality and tourism associations. She is keen to extend her research activities in Tourism and Hospitality and is drawn to Ecotourism and Sustainability projects, in particular. She has published several research papers and is the editor, journal reviewer, travel writer, blogger, and vlogger on various platforms. |

Dr. Mathai was awarded his Doctorate in Human Resource Management with special reference to hospitality Industry from Manonmanium Sundaranar University Tirunelveli- Tamil Nadu . His research area is in HRM and Hospitality. Bringing over 26 years of experience, with strong communication, analytical skills, and a broad knowledge base. Proficient in fostering student engagement, identifying training needs, and collaborating across hierarchical levels. After his undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management, worked with the Oberoi Hotels in Chennai in 1997. Later Joined as a Lecturer in the department of Hotel management at PSG College of arts and Science in Coimbatore and served from 2000- 2004. Dr. Mathai was associated with NHL Stenden University, Qatar & The Netherlands. He was Program Leader and heading the Department of International Business Management studies at the Doha Qatar campus from 2004 to 2021. Dr. Mathai was a spearhead for organizing International educational field trips for students to destinations like Dubai, Sharjah, Abdudhabhi , Bahrain, Germany, South Korea, Amsterdam, Spain & Belgium. He also managed the FIBAA accreditation for the International Business Management Program under the Foundation of International Business Administration Accreditation (Germany) in November 2020. Dr. Mathai is also a certified PBL trainer (Problem based learning). He is also a well-versed trainer for training the students for International case study competitions in Doha Campus. |
