The Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology (FHMCT) was established in 1993 as M.S. Ramaiah College of Hotel Management, renowned for its excellence in professional education in India. The M.S. Ramaiah Group was established in 1962 by Dr. M.S. Ramaiah, a visionary industrialist and philanthropist, with the aim of advancing education and healthcare in India. Starting with the M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT), the group expanded into healthcare by establishing M.S. Ramaiah Medical College and M.S. Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, followed by institutions in dental, pharmacy, and hotel management. In 2013, these institutions were unified to form the Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), focusing on multidisciplinary education, research, and industry collaboration. Today, the M.S.
